Otis EV van (c1974)
on this day in 1974 (30 July) an electric van made its debut as a vehicle for St George council workers in Sydney’s south.
the battery powered van was made by the Otis Elevator Company, but like most electric vehicles until very recently, faced too much competition from fossil fuel cars to survive.
